Reddit AMA | Grand Final Special: Brad O'Neill

The Grand Final partnership between RL Commercial and /r/SuperLeague on Reddit kicked off with player AMAs at the Betfred Super League Grand Final Media Day on Monday!

Wigan Warriors' Brad O'Neill was answering fans’ questions on the social media platform, ahead of Saturday's hotly-anticipated showdown.

Lookdaddyimafarmer: Hello Brad, great to see you on here and hopefully you get a third GF added to the list. Just wanted to ask after last year’s four in a row, where does the motivation come from once you’ve reached the top? Is it about going on to be the best side in SL history maybe targeting Saints’ four GF wins in a row, or just staying hungry and focused on maintaining that standard? Cheers for your time, Brad really appreciate it.

O’Neill:  It's all about building a legacy and that's what we're aiming to do at Wigan!

Spirited-Trust5943: What have been some of your favourite (and least favourite) games this year?

O’Neill:  Favourite - Good Friday victory over St Helens. Least favourite - Loss to Hull FC at home on my birthday weekend!

TaxingChimp: Hi Brad! Big fan and thanks for all the blood, sweat and tears you've put in for the club already. Of all the finals you've won with us so far, which one stands out the most?

O’Neill: World Club Challenge against that Penrith side.

mikeyrh: Who is the best player you have played with/against?

O’Neill: Bevan! Closely followed by Jai - they're incredible!

PudWud-92_: Which retired player do you think your play style is most similar to?

O’Neill: I've not said this, but I have compared to the great Terry Newton.

Captain Mexicano: Does the team enjoy a post match Wigan kebab when you win? What's your favorite pie filling?

O’Neill: I've never actually had a Wigan kebab but I quite like a Steak pie!

United_Truck_9758: Hi Brad. My son met you at Night Under The Lights and still talks about how nice you were to him, when he sees you play. He’s five and rugby mad. What’s one bit of advice you’d give to him as he grows up playing? Thank you!

O’Neill: Always love meeting the fans. Keep it simple - enjoy it and work hard!

smilerbull: When preparing for a final, does the week leading up to it change compared to a regular season fixture?

Brad O’Neill: Not in terms of the training week but a little bit different with media duties, such as a Reddit AMA!
